THE BRONX - A sinkhole has reopened in the same spot as one the city filled in months ago.

There's some debate over who's responsible for filling in the hole near the intersection of 179th Street and Belmont Avenue.

Residents have reported the issue to city officials, but this time, the Department of Environmental Protection says it's the property owner who is responsible for the fix.

The building's superintendent temporarily covered the hole with a metal sheet last week, but that is already caving in.

The super says that if the city can issue tickets for not sweeping that part of the street, it should also be responsible for repairing it.
