NEW YORK - Residents may soon be able to text or comment their complaints and suggestions to the city rather than calling 311.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg has rolled out an online pilot program called Simplicity. The program is based on crowdsourcing and allows individuals to comment on the state of the city.
Currently, the program is available to 15,000 city employees who are able to post ideas on how to improve city services or save the city money.
Over the next year, Simplicity will be opened to all city workers and eventually all New Yorkers.
