City offers more online ticket-contesting options

NEW YORK - Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced today that residents will now be able to upload evidence to contest parking tickets via an attachment online.

Drivers could previously contest parking tickets online, but still had to offer evidence to help make their case through the mail.

City officials say in addition to parking tickets, residents can contest red light camera tickets, santitation tickets and other violations online.

Residents can expect a ruling by email about 10 days after the submission.
