THE BRONX - Summer is in full swing as all 54 city pools opened today.

Crowds lined up early this morning in Croton Park seeking refuge from the heat.

Officials say before residents pack their pool bag, there are a few rules to be reminded of.  Everyone is required to wear a bathing suit on deck and in the water. Babies are required to wear swimming diapers. There are also height requirements for kids under 16 to enter the pool without adult supervision.

The city's outdoor pools will be open from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., seven days a week until Labor Day.

A full list of rules is available through the Parks Department and by calling 311.
