City's summer youth work program taking applications

There's good news for young people from The Bronx who are looking for work: the city has begun accepting applications for its summer youth employment

THE BRONX - There's good news for young people from The Bronx who are looking for work: the city has begun accepting applications for its summer youth employment program. There are 620 summer jobs available for people ages 14 to 24. There are open positions at places like the Bronx Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. The program's director says thousands of youths have applied. The selections will be made through a lottery.NYC Dept. of Youth and Community Development
