THE BRONX - The city saw one of the most violent 48 hours in recent memory this past weekend.

Several people were shot, including a 15-year-old girl who fortunately survived. The shootings of a 21-year-old on Brook Avenue and 139th Street, and a 24-year-old on Burnside Avenue were fatal.

Residents are appalled by all of the violence, and many say gun control laws have to be stricter. People say they hope this isn't a sign of what's to come this summer.

No arrests have been made in these cases as of now, but police have released a picture of the suspect that shot the 15-year-old girl on Kelly Avenue. They say the suspect is 23-year-old Simon Raheem.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
