HUNTS POINT - Help is on the way for thousands of Bronx residents still looking for a job. The city is investing money in training programs to promote job growth.

According to the New York State Labor Department, The Bronx is home to the largest population of jobless New Yorkers.

In efforts to create jobs citywide, the city plans to hand out grants in hopes that small businesses will expand and hang up more help wanted signs.

Unemployment rates are at 12.3 percent for The Bronx, while in New York City there's a 9.7 percent unemployment rate.

The Bronx has seen significant job losses in the last few years, from the closing of various companies, including the Stella D'Oro cookie company.
