THE BRONX - New York City has unveiled its first-ever food truck completely powered by compressed natural gas.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Energy Mogul T-Boone Pickens showed off the new alternative fuel truck Thursday before taste-testing some of its pizza. The truck uses natural gas for both transportation and cooking.

Bloomberg says it produces less greenhouse gas emissions than vehicles run on gasoline and diesel, helping to keep the city air cleaner. It is also believed to be the lowest carbon emission food truck of its size ever built.
