THE BRONX - An old-fashioned egg hunt with a modern twist is taking over New York City.

The Faberge Big Egg Hunt is an interactive contest, with 267 giant egg sculptures hidden around the five boroughs, including several in the Bronx. The eggs are over two feet tall and were created by famous artists and designers.

In order to play, you have to download the free app, which allows you to check in each time you find an egg. The location will remain a secret until 10 people use the app to check in at that egg.

The eggs will all be auctioned off for charity when the contest ends on April 17. The winner will receive a jewel encrusted Faberge pendant.
