THE BRONX - Owners of businesses along Allerton Avenue are still cleaning up today in the wake of a water main break.

The pipe burst yesterday afternoon, causing extensive damage to some businesses, like the Allerton Hardware and Paint Store, where the basement was flooded.

Crews from the Department of Environmental Protection rushed to the scene and spent the day getting the water main break under control.

All the roads in the area have been reopened since yesterday's incident, but there are still minor diversions.
