THE BRONX - It's the end of an era at Yankee Stadium as closer Mariano Rivera makes his final exit at home.

Baseball's most acclaimed relief pitcher will be retiring his No. 42 pinstripes at the end of the season, but Thursday night was the last time he will take the mound on his home turf in the Bronx.

The game against the Tampa Bay Rays was sold out, and proved to be an emotional one for not only Rivera and his teammates, but also for the fans who gave him a standing ovation.

Among the most touching moments came when Rivera and Andy Pettitte embraced on the field, moving Rivera to tears.

Upon his final farewell, Rivera gathered some dirt from the mound as one keepsake in his 19-year career as a Yankee.
