College Ave. residents bothered by lingering tree remains in Claremont

When some College Avenue neighbors look out from their homes, they see thousands of leaves and branches lining Claremont Parkway, just off the Grand Concourse.

CLAREMONT - When some College Avenue neighbors look out from their homes, they see thousands of leaves and branches lining Claremont Parkway, just off the Grand Concourse.

Neighbors say part of a tree fell onto power lines after heavy rains on July 3. Con Edison and the Parks Department cut down the tree and promised it would be picked up after the Fourth of July.

The tree remains have not been removed for more than a month and residents complain the remnants have become an eyesore.
