MORRIS PARK - Based on a recent study, Community Board 11 has announced a proposal to turn part of Lydig Avenue from a two-way street to a one-way street.

Community Board 11 says the part of Lydig Avenue that should be changed is between Seminole Avenue and Williamsbridge Road in Morris Park.

Some residents in the area say they are pleased with the proposal, citing serious congestion issues.

Those opposed to the proposal say the street is fine the way it is and that drivers pull over if they see a car coming the other way.

Community Board 11 says the project will not begin until August and it will take approximately four years to complete.
