THE BRONX - Community activists say an empty lot at 1750 Grand Concourse is filled with garbage and causing a public health issue.

The garbage includes food, electronics and tires. It is considered a breeding ground for vermin.

Community Board 5 is asking both the Parks Department and the Department of Health to address the issue.

Neither department has commented about the lot.
