Over 30 volunteers in the community were part of a bus tour that made 14 stops in their community in order to see how changes have affected various areas, and what could be improved.

THE BRONX - Members of Community Board 7 trekked across their area Saturday to see firsthand how to better serve their district.

Over 30 volunteers in the community were part of a bus tour that made 14 stops in their community in order to see how changes have affected various areas, and what could be improved.

The stops included Tracy Towers, Lehman College, Poe Park and Serviam Gardens Senior Complex.

"We're making an assessment of the community," says Chairperson Adanile Walker Santiago. "We're taking a look at what's been done, what's going to be done and what the future plans are for the community."

Volunteers say that the tour provided a perspective that couldn't be gained from meetings and paperwork.
