Community board positions available in the Bronx

MORRIS PARK - Bronx residents can now apply to become a part of any of the community boards in the borough.

Community Board 11 District Manager John Fratta, who plans to retire in January, says there are 31 people applying to fill his position.

Fratta says working for a community board is hard work and if applicants are looking for a 9-5 job then they are looking at the wrong field of work.  He says his efforts helped him crack down on drugs and crime in the area.

Residents who are interested are urged to apply at any local community board office or online.
