Community center running short for annual dinner donations

THE BRONX - The Bronx Tremont Community Center says a lack of funding is creating a serious dent in its annual holiday dinner.

The center has not received enough donations to provide a Thanksgiving meal to patrons. Last year, it was able to provide dinner for 1,000 people. This fall, it has only received enough donations to feed 100 hungry people.

Organizers of the event say they can still take donations. They need turkeys, pumpkin pies, canned goods and other vegetables.
