Con Edison: Power restored in Pelham Gardens after major outage

The utility says a main cable for the area blew out just before 2:30 p.m. There were also several reports of downed wires in the neighborhood.

PELHAM GARDENS - More than 1,100 customers were affected by a power outage in Pelham Gardens Saturday, according to Con Edison.

The utility says a main cable for the area blew out just before 2:30 p.m. There were also several reports of downed wires in the neighborhood.

The outage also affected some traffic lights on Eastchester Road and Sackett Avenue.

Con Edison says they were able to restore power to the community by 8 p.m.
