THE BRONX - Residents living on Holland Avenue, off of Pelham Parkway, are counting the days until ConEd finishes construction on their block.

ConEd has been digging up the road since early November as part of a major project that will deliver natural gas to the area. The work was supposed to be done this month, but the severe weather has delayed it until the end of March, possibly.

Residents say the construction has made parking an absolute nightmare, and they say that the makeshift walkways are dangerous for senior citizens and people with strollers.

One resident says that people cannot even get near the street to park their cars because the spots are blocked off by ConEd.
