THE BRONX - Planned construction on the roads and rails could delay travel in and around the borough this weekend.

One lane will be closed for another weekend on the Major Deegan Expressway in both directions near the Cross Bronx. The roadway will also be subject to full closures of up to 15 minutes during the overnight hours.

The Queens-Midtown Tunnel will be open with just one tube until 5 a.m. Monday morning. The remaining tube will take on two-way traffic, and trucks will not be permitted.

Mass transit commuters will not have 2 train service between the Bronx and Manhattan, and the 5 train will not run between East 180th Street and 149th Street-Grand Concourse. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service.
