Construction project causing commuter headaches

THE BRONX - A construction project is causing a headache for commuters.

The project has road closures from Marion to Decatur Avenues near East 197th Street. The Department of Design and Construction is warning the closures could affect access by car and even public transportation.

The work is being done to improve a retaining wall, hydrants, curbs and streetlights. Construction is expected to continue until November between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
