THE BRONX - Traveling through The Bronx may be tough this weekend with construction and track work going on. Construction will resume on the Major Deegan Expressway this weekend, blocking one lane both ways from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. approaching the Cross Bronx Expressway. The Major Deegan Expressway is also subject to 15-minute closures both ways during the overnight hours. Claflin Avenue will be closed both ways between 195th Street and West 197th Street throughout the weekend from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Use University Avenue instead. There will be plenty of weekend track work, too. The downtown 2 train will run express from East 180th Street to 3rd Avenue. Uptown 4 trains will skip the 138th Street station, and 5 trains will not run from East 180th Street to Bowling Green; use the 2 or 4 train instead.News 12 The Bronx LIVE Traffic & Weather
