Consumer Affairs cites 31 dealerships in probe

THE BRONX - The city's Department of Consumer Affairs says 31 car dealerships throughout the city are guilty of using bait-and-switch tactics to lure customers.

The 12-week investigation found the dealerships advertised used cars that had already been sold. Of the 31 dealers, Fordham Toyota was cited for false advertising.

Consumers are urged to contact Consumer Affairs before choosing a dealership to ensure they are legitimately licensed.
