THE BRONX - A popular kids' department store is shutting down after seven years of business in Fordham.

Cookie's is expected to lay off all of its 124 employees at its Webster Avenue location this June, citing economic reasons for its closure.

A company representative says that it's the only location in the Bronx that will close, and it plans to open up another department store in the area.
