Cooling centers opened across BX, city

THE BRONX - Cooling centers were opened today across the Bronx and the rest of the city.The Office of Emergency Management and the Department of Health opened the centers after a heat advisory was issued. OEM officials urged residents to stay out of the sun and check on neighbors who may be vulnerable to the heat.

Some signs of heat exhaustion are heavy sweating, paleness, weakness and nausea.
