THE BRONX - A four-week training course is helping hundreds of Bronx residents get jobs as home health aides.

Cooperative Home Care Associates trains around 600 people every year.

During a four-week course on E. Fordham Road, participants learn all the basics of home care, including taking blood pressure, helping elderly people out of bed, and checking vital signs.

Participants say the tough application process pays off in the end because they walk out the door with jobs.
