THE BRONX - The NYPD officer accused of driving drunk and killing a Bronx man faced a judge today.

Luis Arnao was at the Bronx County Hall of Justice for his first scheduled court appearance. The 25-year-old was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly driving under the influence and crashing his car on White Plains Road, killing 22-year-old Tyre Chisolm.

Arnao was charged with vehicular manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. He told the judge that he would testify if the case goes before a grand jury because he's innocent.

Arnao was released on $15,000 bail last week and has been suspended from the NYPD without pay. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 24.
