Cops bust alleged dog fighting ring

Police have arrested three people who allegedly held dog fights on the roof of their apartment building.Authorities say two males and one female were arrested

EAST TREMONT - Police have arrested three people who allegedly held dog fights on the roof of their apartment building.

Authorities say two males and one female were arrested at 2111 LaFontaine Ave. in East Tremont. Two dogs were taken from the building, one of which was seriously injured. Neighbors are relieved the police intervened.

?My concern is that they're just going to bite somebody,? resident Phyllis Wright says. ?Even myself, I?m a grown woman and I have a fear of those dogs.?

Police say charges are still pending for those arrested.
