THE BRONX - Police say a Bronx woman was driving drunk when she lost control of her car in an accident that killed an 11-year-old passenger.

Authorities say Carmen Huertas? car careened off the Henry Hudson Parkway, throwing Huertas and seven other passengers from her vehicle. Leandra Rosado, 11, was killed. Huertas is charged with DWI and vehicular manslaughter.

A good friend of Huertas, Frank Mula, says she is a good mother who takes care of her kids and has never known her to drink or be violent.
