Cops hunt for armed beauty salon bandit in The Bronx

THE BRONX - Police are searching for an armed robber who they say is targeting beauty salons throughout The Bronx.

According to cops, the suspect hit at least three salons last month. They say that in each case, the man entered the business with a gun and demanded everyone inside give up their valuables.

Authorities say the first incident took place March 11 on Southern Boulevard, the second was March 13 on Pelham Parkway and the latest holdup was March 21 on Jerome Avenue.

The man is described as Hispanic, between 25-35 years old and about 5 feet 7 inches tall with tattoos on both arms. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
