Cops hunt for hypodermic needle wielding robber

THE BRONX - Police are searching for a man who they say is threatening his victims with a hypodermic needle and taking off with their valuables.

Authorities say the suspect has struck two times in broad daylight. The first incident happened on East Tremont and Castle Hill avenues on Aug. 16, and the other happened down the road at Roberts Avenue on Sept. 11.

The suspect, who is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 120 pounds, tells his victims that the needle is infected with AIDS, according to cops. The man has made away with a gold bracelet and a gold necklace.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-577-TIPS.
