THE BRONX - Police are searching for a man who they say lowered himself down into a North Riverdale pharmacy through its skylight.

According to authorities, the suspect was caught on camera as he broke into the Hudson Parkway Pharmacy on Mosholu Parkway May 31. They say he made his way to the back of the store where medications are kept, but didn't get away with anything.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is among the officials pushing for the new Safe Doses Act to combat cases of prescription drug theft by increasing penalties. He said there were nearly 13,000 related cases in New York State last year.
