THE BRONX - City officials say a mix-up caused dozens of cars to be wrongly ticketed last night in Williamsbridge.

Residents of 220th Street woke this morning to a sea of orange slips - about 70 cars had been ticketed for parking in a ?No Parking? zone. Neighbors were outraged, claiming they always park in the area between White Plains Road and Barnes Avenue without any issues.

Police say an officer misread a traffic sign in the area and the drivers should not have been ticketed. The drivers will not have to pay the $60 fine, city officials say.
