Cops search for 2 men in armored car robbery

THE BRONX - Police are on the hunt for two men who they say robbed an armored car company while it was stopping at a Bronx check-cashing unit this morning.

Authorities say the driver of the Rapid Armored truck fired a gun at the suspects at David's Check Cashing on 3rd Avenue and 155th Street. The men still got away on foot with an unknown amount of money.

Cops could not say if the two men were also armed. They say no one was injured, but stray bullets hit a bus and a store across the street.

News 12 The Bronx reached out to Rapid Armored Corporation, but could not get a statement. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
