Country Bay Pizzeria on Ampere Avenue was robbed at around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say pizzeria employees were held up at gunpoint.
Mary Nolan, an owner of Country Bay Pizzeria, says a man came in with a rifle. She says when she asked what the man wanted, he pointed the rifle at her and told her that he wanted money.

Nolan says the robber was able to empty the cash register and take all the money the three pizzeria workers had on them. She says it totaled $1,000.
After the robber took the money, he allegedly forced Nolan and two other people into the freezer. He allegedly threatened to kill all three if they opened the door of the freezer.
George Mujica, another owner of the pizzeria and one of the three people forced inside the freezer, said they had no choice but to escape the freezer because they could have frozen to death. He says the suspect was gone when they opened the freezer door.
Neighbors in the area were shocked to hear that something like this took place in an area they say is safe.
Local businesses, including Country Bay Pizzeria, say they will be installing surveillance cameras.
