THE BRONX - A recovery effort is underway after a body was spotted in the Harlem River at Roberto Clemente State Park.

News 12 spoke with several picnickers who say they noticed a man in the water and called police.

Divers are currently working to recover the body.

Officials are trying to determine whether the man willingly jumped or fell into the water.

Park officers bagged clothing and other personal items left behind by the victim.
