Crotona building tenants trapped in the cold

CROTONA - Tenants in a Crotona Avenue building say they are freezing inside of their own apartments.

Many people in the building say that they have been without heat for 10 days.

Some residents say the cold is not the only problem, and point out that elevators are not reliable in the 20-floor building. They say one elevator is under construction, while the other is not working consistently.

Despite calling 311 several times, tenants say they have resorted to using their ovens to stay warm in their frigid apartments.
