ALBANY - Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) outlined his plans for New York over the upcoming year in today's State of the State address.

Cuomo's speech focused on minimum wage, gun control and education. He called it his most ambitious agenda yet.

Cuomo called on the state to ban assault weapons and to limit the number of bullets that a gun magazine can carry. The governor also called on the Legislature to raise the minimum wage in the state to $8.75 an hour.

Cuomo took time to criticize Congress for its handling of Hurricane Sandy relief funding legislation, as well as to discuss the need to improve education by increasing students’ time in the classroom.
