THE BRONX - Homeowners can expect lower heating bills this winter due to a cut on natural gas prices.

Heating bills will be about 5 percent lower than normal. The average heating bill is expected to hit $380 this year. That's a decrease of $20 from last year.

Homeowners say it's still important to cut back on heat usage. Consolidated Edison, Inc. is offering $3,000 rebates for those who replace their old furnaces or water heaters with new energy-efficient appliances.
