THE BRONX - A tree damaged by Hurricane Sandy is no longer a threat to one Pelham Gardens home.

Tony Bernadini says the 100-foot high tree was at risk of splitting open and crashing down on top his Young Avenue house.

He says he called city officials and 311 to have it cut down, but all of his requests were denied until News 12 covered the story last week.
