Dance academy brings 'Bollywood' dancing to The Bronx

THE BRONX - More than 40 students performed several cultural dances to Indian and Caribbean music today to celebrate culture and community.

Bharati Dance Academy students performed at Vishnu Mandir, a Hindu temple.

The students have learned "Bollywood" dances, while also learning about connecting with their culture.

"It's really fun to dance because you learn a lot about your culture and you learn a lot of dances," says dance student Savanna Naidoo.
