1 killed, 1 hurt in Parkchester shooting

THE BRONX - One man is dead and another is in the hospital after shots rang out in Parkchester overnight.

According to police, 23-year-old Daquan Cooper was fatally shot in the leg at 1597 Unionport Road at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. 

The second victim, a 35-year-old man, was shot twice in the leg. He's listed in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center. 

Witnesses report hearing about six gunshots. 

Authorities say it's not yet clear if the two men were the intended targets. So far, no arrests have been made.
