Daughter of bus stop crash victim grieving dad

THE BRONX - The daughter of the elderly man who was killed in a crash at a Kingsbridge bus stop spoke to News 12 about dealing with the loss of her father.

Ofel Bernardo says her father, 76-year-old Marcelino Adrandea, had just finished visiting her and his grandchildren Tuesday morning when he was hit by a livery cab that swerved to avoid crashing into a van.

Devastated by her loss, Bernardo says she finds solace in knowing how much of a dedicated father, grandfather and neighbor Adrandea was.

"A good person, very helpful and kind to everyone," Bernardo says.

Wake services for Adrandea wll be held Saturday and Sunday between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Ortiz Funeral Home.
