Deadline looms for businesses affected by water main break

JEROME AVENUE - Today is the last day for Jerome Avenue business owners affected by July?s massive water main break to apply for aid from the city.

For many, staying in business is a race against time. "After that happened, I couldn't even work for a month or more. All the merchandise is damaged right now. I have no money to grow the business again,? says business owner Luis Montas.

The city says the help can take anywhere from six months to 3 years.
