Deadly car crash driver rejects plea deal

THE BRONX - The Bronx woman involved in a car crash that killed an 11-year-old girl has rejected a plea deal.

Carmen Huertas is accused of driving under the influence with a group of young girls in her car. The car crashed on the Henry Hudson Parkway killing 11-year-old Leandra Rosado.

Huertas was offered a deal that could have sent her to prison for up to 15 years if she pled guilty. She has until Aug. 10 to change her mind or go to trial.
