THE BRONX - A decorated war veteran who was given the opportunity to live anywhere in the world has chosen the Bronx.

Semisi Tokailagi is a hero who nearly lost his life serving in Afghanistan.

After earning a Purple Heart and suffering a life-changing injury, he was given a chance for a new beginning. Bank of America offered to give him a free home almost anywhere in the country.

He chose Harding Park.

Tokailagi says he doesn't have any family at all in New York, but the people in Harding Park were quick to say they would welcome him in as one of their own.
