Police say a Bronx deli owner is recovering after three men tried to rob his store and then beat him with a baseball bat.Authorities say

PELHAM BAY - Police say a Bronx deli owner is recovering after three men tried to rob his store and then beat him with a baseball bat.

Authorities say three men stormed inside Chris? Deli on Middletown Road in Pelham Bay just before 9 a.m. Saturday. According to officers, the men savagely beat the deli owner and then fled the scene toward Crosby Avenue. Two of the suspects were wearing white shirts, and the third was wearing yellow.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital and is expected to survive.
