Deliveryman shot in Williamsbridge

WILLIAMSBRIDGE - A Bronx deliveryman is fighting for his life after being shot Sunday in Williamsbridge.

Police say 31-year-old Fengwang Chen, who worked at New China Garden Restaurant on Nereid Avenue, was shot in the neck after two men allegedly called in a bogus delivery.

"It is important that you give [the suspects] up. We can not sit back and tolerate this senseless act," says Councilman Larry Seabrook (D-Bronx).

Authorities say Chen was supposed to make a delivery on 229th Street, but no one was home when he arrived. Police say the suspects then shot Chen.
