The report suggests that students write comments and tag photos that show off their best attributes. (1/13/14)

BRONX - A new set of social media guidelines from the city's Department of Education is trying to teach students how to improve their online image.

They hope the nine-page report, released in December, will help students in their future. It gives students pointers to make sure that their only "followers" are people, instead of damaging pictures and posts.

The report suggests that students write comments and tag photos that show off their best attributes.

It also says that there's no going back once something is posted on the Web.

Lastly, it asks students to take cyberbullying seriously, by only accepting known 'friends' and 'de-friend' or report anyone who posts explicitly.

The Department of Transportation says it's employees received their own version of this list back in 2012.
