THE BRONX - The Department of Transportation is making traffic improvements at two busy intersections that have long been a source of trouble for Bronx commuters.

At Boston Road and Pelham Parkway, a new traffic enforcement agent is a welcomed sight for both drivers and pedestrians who complain that the crossroad is usually a nightmare, especially during rush hours.

A team is also counting cars down the road at Bronx Park East and Allerton Avenue to help the DOT come up with ways to ease congestion and improve the flow of traffic.

Councilman James Vacca says that he's been pushing for the traffic control measures to help increase safety at both locations.
